Talocan - Phantasialand (DE)

Talocan is by far the most complete attraction I have ever done! The theming, soundtrack, ride and effects, everything just fitted perfectly together to form the most amazing experience.The perfectly weathered painting on the really, really realistic sculptures formed a real life Mexican temple. The only downside are technical elements (like speakers and water effects) which are simple hard to cover up.

The viewing area makes the ride also good for people who do not ride it. When you walk into the Deep in Africa-area of the park from the Berlin-area you walk past this ride. It is also a great place just to relax and enjoy the music and the theming. My family for example, did not want to ride this attraction. I brought them to this viewing area (because they did not know the park) and than I went on. During the ride sequence the interaction with these people waving and filming is so simple, but it makes you enjoy the ride that much more!

Then the soundtrack, which was recently replaced by an other version, this time by IMAscore. Both versions fit the ride perfectly. I prefer to listen to the old one, but that does not mean I dislike the new version. The tension which is suggested by the music is awesome, especially because it fits the ride sequence that good. At the climax everything comes together making an impact which is that good it is unique to this ride.

Most importantly, the ride is really good. There are about ten inversions and lots of hangtime and interaction with the fire- and water effects which come reasonably close to you. A absolute 10 out of 10 for me for an awesome experience ride.
